Design Your Plan

START BY ANSWERING THESE QUESTIONS

Mission: What Problems I’m I Passionate About Solving?

Vision: What Possibilities Do I See?

Goals: How Can I Pursue My Mission and Solve The Problems?

Target: Who Would Benefit the Most?

Colleagues: Who Else is On Board With This Mission?

NOW BRAND YOURSELF!

Your brand is how the world distinguishes you from others who offer the same or similar services.  You must identify:

  1. What exactly do you do (in 15 words or less)?
    1. Is it authentic to your passion?  Mission Statement?  Vision?
    2. What do you do that you are most proud of?
    3. What can you brag about?
    4. What would you want to become famous for?
    5. What legacy do you want to leave?
  2. What needs do you fulfill?
  3. For whom (niche)?
  4. What makes you different (in 15 words or less)? Benefits?
  5. What special features deliver amazing benefits and add value to people?

To Begin to Brand Yourself:

  1. Create a powerful message (tag line).
  2. Create a logo with colors, and shapes that will reflect/represent what you do.
  3. Nate Ritter says Get visible: Teach a class at a community college, contribute to a local or professional column as a writer, get on panels at conferences, make a presentation at a workshop.
  4. Tell people about what you do through articles, blogs, newsletters.  Write a book.  Join social online networks like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Spread your message and ideas like wildfire.  Become known as the expert.
  5. Have a powerful presentation ready to go if called to speak on your topic.
  6. Brand yourself by using the same colors and logo on your website, business cards, and stationery.

Here are 3 Quick Ways to Brand Yourself WHILE Using Automated Systems:

  1. Create a YouTube Video and introduce yourself in your autoresponder series. People want to see YOU, not some system.
  2. Write Articles with helpful information. Post these articles to EzineArticles.com and send them to your list as well. It demonstrates that you're an authority.
  3. Create a Facebook profile. It may seem that creating such a profile is just for fun. But the savvy marketer will use Facebook or other social media to tell their story and make a deeper connection with their subscribers.
